Vicente Aleixandre (Sevilla1898-Madrid 1984). La conmemoración, en 1927, del tricentenario de la muerte de Góngora, organizada por el Ateneo en el Salón de Actos de la Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País, en la calle Rioja, supuso el acto fundacional de la Generación del 27. Vicente Aleixandre (1898-1984), premio Nóbel de Literatura de 1977, y Luis Cernuda (1902-1963) son los más importantes poetas sevillanos de este grupo. Vicente Aleixandre (Seville1898-Madrid 1984). The commemoration of the tercentenary of the death of Góngora organised by the Cultural Centre and held in the Assembly Room of the Real Sociedad Económica de Amigos del País (Royal Economic Society of Friends of the Country) was the founding act of the Generación del 27. Vicente Aleixandre (1898-1984), winner of the Nobel Prize of Literature in 1977, and Luis Cernuda (1902-1963) are the most important Sevillian poets in this group. Other members of the group include Fernando Villalón, Juan Sierra, Joaquín Romero Murube, Rafael Laffón, Adriano del Valle,
