Osio (Córdoba ca. 257-Córdoba ca. 358) fue elegido obispo de Córdoba en el 294. Consejero del emperador Constantino, se le atribuye su conversión al cristianismo. Partidario de san Atanasio en su controversia con Arrio, presidió el concilio ecuménico de Nicea y a él se debió la fórmula del Credo niceno. Al final de su vida, fue perseguido por el emperador Constancio, favorable al arrianismo.
Osio (Cordoba circa 257-Cordoba circa 358) was appointed bishop of Cordoba in 294. He was an advisor to Emperor Constantine, and is believed to be responsible for his conversion to the Christian faith. He supported Saint Atanasio's arguments against Arrio and presided over the Council of Nice which led to the promulgation of the Nicean Creed. At the end of his life he was persecuted by Emperor Constance, who favoured Arrianism.
