Juan Sebastián Elcano (1476 Guetaria, Guipúzcoa-El pacífico 1526) en 1519 partió en la expedición de Magallanes. En 1522 regresó, con sólo la nave Victoria y 18 supervivientes, tras completar la primera Vuelta al Mundo. En 1526 murió en el Pacífico rumbo a las Molucas.
Juan Sebastián Elcano (1476 Guetaria, Guipúzcoa-The Pacific 1526). In 1519, he set sail on the Magallanes expedition. In 1522, he returned with only one ship, the Victoria, and 18 survivors, after completing the first voyage around the world. In 1526 he died in the Pacific on his way to the Maluku Islands.
