Cristóbal Colón
Cristóbal Colón (¿-Valladolid 1506) se instaló en 1485 en Sevilla, donde residió de manera intermitente disfrutando de la hospitalidad de los monjes de la Cartuja y el apoyo del Duque de Medinaceli. La fecha del 12 de octubre de 1492 supuso una nueva era para la Historia Universal y Sevilla, donde Colón regresó el 31 de Marzo de 1493, se convirtió en protagonista indiscutible de la aventura americana. Los restos de Colón reposan en la catedral Hispalense.
Christopher Columbus (¿-Valladolid 1506) settled in Seville in 1485, where he lived on and off whilst seeking support for the visionary projects which led to the Discovery of America. In Seville, he enjoyed the hospitality of the Carthussian monks and the decisive support of the Duke of Medinaceli. The 12th of October of 1492 marked the start of a new era in universal history. After Columbus returned to the city on the 31st of March 1493, Seville became the undisputable centre of the American adventure riches of the New World entered Europe. The remains of Christopher Columbus rest in Seville's Cathedral.
